BLACKBIRD IS THE CREATOR is a visual meditation on Fred Moten's poem Come on, get it! and Wu Tsang's film The show is over. The text on the shirt arises directly from the poem/film and the imagery is meant to invoke themes raised jointly in the works: both aloneness and connection to nature and the cosmos. The shirts have been hand-dyed and printed in the COME TEES Los Angeles studio.
